Spectrum auction: Day 2 sees bids of Rs 56,792 crore

New Delhi, Oct 3 (IANS) The government received commitments of Rs 56,792 crore from telecom operators on Monday while again there were no takers for 700 MHz and 900 MHz bands, according to an official source.

There were fresh six rounds of bidding on Day 2 of India’s biggest spectrum auction. The total rounds of bidding after Day 2 stood at 11.

Day 1 saw over Rs 53,000 crore commitments from telecom operators after five rounds of bidding.
