New Delhi, Nov. 11 (ANI): Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) leader Subramanian Swamy on Wednesday said the party needs to form a single opinion on the nature of its defeat in the Bihar Assembly polls.
“Since there are now two opinions as to what was the nature of our defeat, therefore, I think, it’s time to come and form one single opinion of the party. For that, the national executive is the best and that should be summoned as soon as possible,” Swamy told ANI.
“I don’t think they have named anybody, but certainly, they have raised questions about the leadership style. They are very senior leaders in Margdarshan Mandal created by Narendra Modi himself,” he added.
“They would welcome the advice of the experienced people. They have been there from day one, and therefore, they have the right to say what they feel is in the interest of the party,” he said.
Veteran BJP leader Lal Krishna Advani and three other BJP veterans issued a strong statement on the party’s defeat in Bihar on Tuesday, demanding a thorough review.
“The results of the Bihar election show that no lesson has been learnt from the fiasco in Delhi,” (PLEASE PUT THE FULL STATEMENT)said the statement signed by Advani, Murli Manohar Joshi, Shanta Kumar and Yashwant Sinha.
The BJP top brass, however, issued a counter statement in response, saying they have been ‘fortunate’ to be led by Advani for decades and welcomed any guidance and suggestion by the senior leaders. (ANI)
