Mysuru, Sep 24 (IANS) Ranji Trophy champions Karnataka defeated Bangladesh A by four wickets in a three-day tour match here on Thursday, overhauling the victory target of 181.
Resuming at their overnight score of 188/3 with a lead of 59 runs, Bangladesh A folded up for 309 as left-arm spinner Jagadeesha Suchith sliced through the middle and lower order for a haul of six wickets.
It left Karnataka a target of 181 which they achieved despite a few hiccups, including the early loss of Ravikumar Samarth (1) and Robin Uthappa (3).
But C.M. Gautam (49, 35b, 10×4), Abhishek Reddy (36) and Shreyas Gopal (40 not out) ensured that the hosts survived to cross the finish line.
