Sunny Kaushal who made his Bollywood debut in “Sunshine Music Tours and Travels” says the tip he got from his brother Vicky Kaushal to be real and honest in the film industry has been very helpful.
Sunny, the younger brother of the “Raman Raghav 2.0” star, will be seen in Shailendra Singh’s directorial debut “Sunshine Music Tours and Travels”.
Sunny considers his 28-year-old brother as his “idol” and says the “Masaan” star is more mature than him.
“My brother has been my idol. There is only one and a half year’s difference between us but our years of growing up have been such that he is much older and mature than his age. Vicky is much more grounded than me,” Sunny said during a media interview.
The son of action director Shyam Kaushal, the budding actor says he was super excited when he bagged the film and credits his father for encouraging the siblings to do things on their own.
“When we said we wanted to be actors, he told us, ‘Don’t be under the misconception that just because I am in the industry, you will get a star launch. I am a technician, not a star. Because of the goodwill that I have earned, people might call you, offer a cup of tea but won’t invest money just because you are my son’,” he added.
Sunny is happy that well known people from the industry have wished him success for his film and that makes him feel “blessed.”
“Farah Khan, Rohit Dhawan, Shekhar (Ravjiani) and Sajid Wajid were there at our music launch and that was a huge deal for all of us. Even Nana (Patekar) and Kapil (Dev) sir blessed us during the trailer launch. I feel blessed…”
