Established Bollywood stars have now turned their attention to grooming the fourth generation of stars and experimenting with their own kids.
Sunny Deol made his Bollywood debut with film Betaab in 1983 with actress Amrita Singh. Now when his son Karan is gearing up for his debut in the industry, the doting father wants to remake the film and recreate the magic with Amrita and Saif Ali Khan’s daughter Sara Ali Khan, who is also said to be making a career in Bollywood.
Sunny had reportedly discussed the idea of Karan-Sara’s debut in Betaab’s remake with Amrita.
According to a source, “The idea was to recreate the Betaab magic. Sunny even called up Amrita and told her he would like to cast Sara opposite Karan. However, it was not meant to be. Amrita had to turn down the offer as by then, Sara was already under contract with Dharma Productions — she will be making her debut in a film produced by Karan Johar.”
Sara, who looks like a carbon copy of her mother, is already under contract with Karan Johar’s Dharma Productions. No confirmation has been forthcoming from any of the sources.
Sunny’s son Karan is already working as an assistant director for Yamla Pagla Deewana 2 and also closely worked with the making of Ghayal Once Again.
What Sunny will plan next for his son is not yet known.
Sunny confirmed to a paper that his son will definitely make his debut as an actor.
Sunny Deol had also mentioned how sharing screen space with father Dharmendra and Karan will be a beautiful experience. – CINEWS
