London, July 13 (ANI): World number two golfer Jordan Spieth has warned the Open Championship rivals to be wary of his superb form, saying that his golf putting is ‘awesome right now’.
The 21-year-old American, who clinched a thrilling win at the John Deere Classic following a sudden-death play-off on Sunday, maintained that better is yet to come and insisted that ‘he has got plenty in the tank’.
Spieth, who is eyeing a third consecutive major title at St Andrews after winning the Masters and US Open this year, said that his driver is really good on the range, while stating that his pace control is awesome right now, referring to his putting stroke fluency, the Guardian reported.
Spieth, however, believes that he must fine-tune his driver as his club is not pointed at the target at the top of his swing.
The American has a chance to replace Rory McIlroy as the world’s best golfer and become the first player since Ben Hogan to claim the first three majors of a year, if he manages to clinch the title at St Andrews. (ANI)
