Actor Sushant Singh Rajput has dismissed reports claiming he refused to dance on a reality show, where he was to promote his new film MS Dhoni: The Untold Story.
Sushant will be next seen in the biopic of Indian cricketer Mahendra Singh Dhoni.
The 30-year-old actor was recently on the set of celebrity dance show Jhalak Dikhhla Jaa to promote the film. There were reports that Sushant threw tantrums and even asked the show’s team to not mention he started his career as a TV actor and was also a contestant on one of its previous seasons.
Slamming the reports, Sushant tweeted, “I am extremely proud to be an actor irrespective of the medium and also of my past. So stop these bullshit stories. What an actor does on a reality show is decided by the studio for the film. I have worked in theatre, tv and films and I don’t differentiate,” he said further.
The actor shot to fame after starring on Balaji TV show “Kis Desh Mein Hai Meraa Dil” in 2008 and later became a small screen star with “Pavitra Rishta” (2009). He quit television in 2011 to make foray into Bollywood.
His first movie was “Kai Po Che!” in 2013. The actor also acted in films like “Shuddh Desi Romance”, “Byomkesh Bakshy!” and “PK”.
“MS Dhoni: The Untold Story”, directed by Neeraj Pandey, will be released on September 30. – CINEWS
