Suspect sought in Vaughan sex assault investigation

Investigators with the York Regional Police Sexual Assault Unit are seeking public assistance to identify a suspicious man in a white pick-up truck following an incident in the City of Vaughan.

On Thursday, September 1, 2016, at approximately 2:45 p.m., two teenaged girls were riding their bikes in the area of St. Joan of Arc Avenue and Drummond Drive when a man inside a pick-up truck approached them and made comments of a sexual nature to the girls. The girls left the area and told a parent.

Investigators are seeking assistance from the public to provide any information that may assist in identifying the vehicle and the driver.

The suspect has been described as male, white, 20 to 30 years, Wearing sunglasses, Short brown hair, Clean shaven, Spoke English

Vehicle: White pick-up truck with Black bed liner.

Anyone who may have been in the area at the time and saw anything suspicious is asked to contact police.
