Suspected street racing causes driver’s death

Mississauga, September 18 (CINEWS): A Mississauga man is dead following what the OPP say may have been a street race on Highway 401 just before midnight.
Alizeb Mirza, 27, was killed when he lost control of his Lexus car on Highway 401 near Dixie Road around 11:50 p.m.streetcar
For unknown reasons, police say, Mirza’s car entered the median ditch between the westbound core and collector lanes. The vehicle began to roll and an unbuckled Mirza was ejected from the vehicle. Mirza was pronounced dead at the scene.
The collector lanes were closed for the investigation.
Witnesses reported the vehicle travelling at a high rate of speed, possibly racing with another vehicle prior to the collision, OPP Sgt. Kerry Schmidt said.
