Taapsee Pannu who is riding the success of her new movie Pink is learning mixed martial arts and a bit of Japanese martial art Aikido, apart from self-defence system Krav Maga for her next movie.
The actress, who was last seen performing action in Neeraj Pandey’s Baby, will be seen taking the action sequences to a new level.
“Continuing with Krav Maga, I have also started training in basics of Aikido and MMA. It’s getting tougher and harder from what I did for Baby. It has been a month of training and I train for one and half to two hours every day, barring the days I am shooting for 12 hours,” Taapsee said in a statement.
Taapsee says she struggled after her first film was released.
Explaining what she meant by the struggle she said “In Bollywood, I didn’t really try to find good work at all. I have been lucky that way that the offers or opportunities fell on my lap to begin with. My struggles actually started after my first film, to keep up with the kind of response I got after the first film.”
Taapsee, who made her acting debut with the 2010 Telugu film “Jhummandi Naadam”, made her Bollywood debut in 2013 with the film “Chashme Baddoor”.
The 29-year-old actress said “just to choose the right film” was a struggle for her.
The Baby actress considers herself lucky for not going through the hardships other “good actors go through”. “Probably I have been really lucky that I didn’t really have to go through that a lot of good actors go through in the early stage of their career,” she said.
Taapsee will soon be seen in the upcoming films Naam Shabana and Ghazi. – CINEWS
