Chennai, Feb. 6 (ANI): Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) Tamil Nadu president Tamilisai Soundararajan will continue as the state party chief for another term.

Soundararajan took over as the president in mid-2014 after the BJP’s victory in the Lok Sabha elections, replacing Union Minister Pon. Radhakrishnan, since the party constitution bars leaders from holding dual positions.

Daughter of former TNCC president Kumari Ananthan, she had in the past, held many posts which included State general secretary (medical wing), South Chennai district medical wing secretary, zonal in charge (three districts), all India convenor (medical wing), State general secretary, vice-president and national secretary.

With a second term, she would be at the helm for three years. (ANI)
