Los Angeles, November 27 (CINEWS): Vocalist Taylor Swift, who accumulated thankfulness this year for her fifth studio collection `1989`, secured key respects at the American Music Awards 2015 by winning three recompenses.
She won the Song of the Year, Favorite Pop/Rock Album and Favorite Adult Contemporary Artist trophies.
Facilitated by vocalist on-screen character Jennifer Lopez, the grants show occurred here at the Microsoft Theater on Sunday, reports variety.com.
The other enormous champ of the night was British boyband One Direction, which got the trophy for Artist of the Year and the Favorite Duo or Group – Pop/Rock.
While the Favorite Male Artist – Soul/R&B went to artist The Weeknd, vocalist Nicki Minaj took home the trophy for Favorite Artist – Rap/Hip-Hop.
The Favorite Artist – Alternative Rock honor was taken by American rock band Fall Out Boy.
Music maker Skrillex and DJ Diplo’s single `Where are u now`, including vocalist Justin Bieber, won the recompense for the best Collaboration of the Year, unleashed by T-Mobile.
Artists Carrie Underwood and Ariana Grande took home the grants for the Favorite Female Artist – Country and the Favorite Female Artist – Pop/Rock.
Likewise, Sam Hunt was named New Artist of the Year; Minaj’s collection “The Pinkprint” won the Favorite Album – Rap/Hip-Hop; movie producer Elizabeth Banks’ 2015 musical satire film “Pitch Perfect 2” won the Top Soundtrack recompense; vocalist Luke Bryan won for Favorite Male Artist – Country; and The Weeknd’s “Excellence Behind the Madness” collection was named Favorite Album – Soul/R&B.
English artist Ed Sheeran secured the trophy for Favorite Male Artist – Pop/Rock, while, vocalist Rihanna won the Favorite Female Artist – Soul/R&B recompense.
Likewise amongst the champs were Enrique Iglesias and Calvin Harris, who won Favorite Artist – Latin and Favorite Artist – Electronic Dance Music (EDM).
