Toronto, April 29 (CINEWS): In yet another display of community engagement, TD employees participated in the second annual charity diversity sports tournament to raise money for local organizations, while having fun and celebrating diversity. The tournament generated $3,000 which was donated to three local charities: the Tamara Gordon Foundation, the South Asian Autism Awareness Centre and Success Beyond Limits. The winning team from the basketball tournament also received additional money to put towards their charity of choice.
Kelvin Tran, Senior Vice President and Chief Auditor, TD Bank Group, and Chair of the Visible Minority Committee at TD, explains why these types of employee events are important to the bank. “Fun and friendly events like this one bring together employees across the bank to support the communities in which they work and live every day,” says Tran. “This basketball tournament is just one example of the many ways we at TD celebrate diversity and inclusiveness with our employees and the local communities.”
