A day of gold to raise funds for the fight against cancer will bring together York Regional Police Chief Eric Jolliffe, York Region Chairman Wayne Emmerson and the Clubs4Cancer Committee. “So many of us have been touched by this disease and this is an opportunity to raise funds for cancer research”, a police statement said.

With the help and support of the Angus Glen Golf Club, master of ceremonies CTV Sports Director Lance Brown and many caring individuals and corporate sponsors, the 9th Annual Clubs4Cancer tournament will be held on Monday, October 3, 2016, with registration at 7 a.m., and a shotgun tee-off at 8 a.m. A barbecue lunch will be served.

This is the ninth year for this successful fundraising tournament, which to date has raised $270,000 towards the fight against cancer for local hospitals.
