The National President of the Bhartiya Modi Army Rajiv Ahuja blew into town with the Modi entourage. At Ricoh Coliseum, Rajiv was among the few prominent people who got to meet, greet and have a five- minute conversation with PM Modi. He also got to meet PM Harper. PM Modi and his entourage then flew on to Vancouver, but Rajiv Ahuja stayed behind in Toronto where he is on a mission- to build and promote Prime Minister Narendra Modi among the South Asian diaspora.
In an interview with Can-India, Rajiv Ahuja explained that the Bhartiya Modi is an independent entity not affiliated with the BJP party, it is solely an organization devoted to building up the profile of a leader a large number of people believe to be second only in stature after Mahatma Gandhi.
Too many that might seem to be a stretch, but millions of Modi fans in India and across the world would beg to differ, Rajiv Ahuja is one of them.
“I was active in the Congress party but once Mr Modi decided to go national I switched over to the BJP. But his primary loyalty is to PM Modi. “If PM Modi decides to quit BJP and join another party or form one, I will follow him,” he says. “ During the elections in India, we organized road shows where we informed people what Modi stood for. We are online and have chapters in many states in India as well as in other countries including Canada, Australia, Macau and UK. We want to establish chapters everywhere and ensure Mr Modi becomes the most powerful leader in the world,” says Ahuja.
In a way PM Modi’s popularity has a lot to do with the efforts of his loyal fan base and the Bhartiya Modi Army.
In the past few days, like PM Modi, Rajiv Ahuja has spent his days and part of this nights holding dozens of meetings with organizations and important individuals. Plans which at this point cannot be revealed have been drawn up to form alliances and a fan base.
“I am planning a big rally in the next few months or maybe next summer and we will probably bring down some senior BJP leaders to meet with the community here,” says Mr Ahuja.
According to Rajiv Ahuja, the world is today looking up to PM Narendra Modi. “Look at the difference PM Modi is making in India, he has started so many positive movements like the Swatchh Bharat mission , Beti Bachao, Beti Padhao and is eradicating corruption and creating a more transparent system,” he said.
NRI’s around the world are very interested in what is going on in India because of the business opportunities available. Rajiv Ahuja spent ten days in Toronto and is now back in India, he has gone back with dozens of contacts and will be back.
