Earlier this week, criminal defense lawyer Ravin Pillay representing Dellan Millard made an impressive closing argument in the case involving his client leading some to speculate that Millard may indeed walk out a free man.

It may be recalled that Ancaster’s Tim Bosma took a ride with two strangers in a truck he was trying to sell and never came back. Dellen Millard and Mark Smich are on trial for first-degree murder in the death of Bosma.

When Dellan Mallard and Mark Smich were arrested two years ago, it was notable defense lawyer Deepak Paradkar who was involved with Millard’s case. With little explanation, he excused himself and instead Ravin Pillay was thrust into the spotlight and has represented him in this gripping trial.

Ravin Pillay has won acquittals for a number of high profile cases, including a man who was charged with a gruesome murder in Philadelphia who was facing extradition to Canada. He also defended a former Bandidos biker gang member at a hearing where the Crown was trying to seize the man’s home. Nadir Sachak is the co-counsel.

Now it is up to the jurors to decide the fate of the two accused. – CINEWS
