Actor John Abraham says Hollywood superstar Sylvester Stallone is his role model and he has influenced his life in a huge way. “Sylvester Stallone actually influenced my life to a large extent. In a way, he is also a role model for me… I believe that there is a little bit of Stallone in me,” John said.
The Dishoom star says it is because of the Cliffhanger star he got into Hindi film industry. “A lot of people don’t know that Sylvester Stallone is the reason that why I got into films. I saw his film Rocky 4 and I was enamoured by the fact that a man could look so tough and fight another tough guy,” said John, who has featured in several action films too.
Meanwhile, John Abraham, Varun Abraham and Jacqueline Fernandez-starrer Dishoom crossed Rs 50 crore mark at the box office.
Rohit Dhawan-directed film has had a good run at the box office collections so far. After posting Rs 37.32 crore profit over the weekend, it is going strong during the weekdays as well. In fact, Dishoom has earned over Rs 80 crore worldwide. Dishoom has already recovered its cost according to reports. .
John Abraham made his film debut with Jism (2003), which earned him a Filmfare Best Debut Award nomination.This was followed by his first commercial success, Dhoom (2004). He received two Filmfare Award nominations, for his negative roles in Dhoom, and in Zinda (2006). He later appeared in the major critical success Water (2005). He was nominated for a Filmfare Award for Best Supporting Actor for the film Baabul (2006). Since then, Abraham has starred in many critically and commercially successful films including Dostana (2008), New York (2009), Force (2011), Shootout at Wadala (2013), Madras Cafe (2013) and Welcome Back (2015).
