Three convicted for smuggling fake currency in Lucknow

Lucknow, Feb.3 (ANI): A special Central Bureau of Investigation (CBI) court on Wednesday convicted three persons for smuggling huge quantities of fake Indian currency notes and sentenced them to undergo seven years of imprisonment.

Gulshan Jahan, Imrana and Mohammed Rashid have been convicted for possession of fake Indian currency up to Rs eight lakh and have been sentenced to undergo seven years of imprisonment with fine of Rs. 1.30 lakh each.

According to reports, Gulshan Jahan was allegedly involved in circulation of fake currency and its onward delivery to unknown people in Rampur and Moradabad. (ANI)
