Three sought in $3000 heist of cigarettes in Richmond Hill

Officers at #2 District Criminal Investigations Bureau  of the York police are seeking public assistance in identifying three suspects following a theft of $3,000 worth of cigarettes from a convenience store in the Town of Richmond Hill.

On March 30, 2016, police responded to a theft call at a convenience store located in the area of Spadina Road and 16th Avenue. At approximately 2 p.m., one male and one female suspect entered the store and began distracting the employee at the counter. A third male suspect entered and proceeded to to the back storage room where he filled a bag up with cigarette cartons. The suspects fled the area without the employee realizing what had occurred.

Investigators are now releasing video surveillance footage of the suspects and are appealing to the public for assistance. The video is available for viewing at
