After working together in ‘Heropanti’ and ‘Baaghi’, filmmaker Sabbir Khan and Tiger Shroff are ready to collaborate for the third time with ‘Munna Michael’.
Born to actor Jackie Shroff, Tiger made his film debut in 2014 with Heropanti, which earned him a Filmfare Award for Best Male Debut nomination. He then starred in the action drama Baaghi (2016), which earned over Rs.1 billion (US$15 million) worldwide.
Another person who has joined the team is none other than Tiger’s sister Krishna Shroff. Krishna, who made headlines for her bold photographs, will be joining the film’s team as an Assistant Director to Sabbir Khan.
A source close to the unit revealed, Krishna has got various offers from leading production houses to face the camera but she will be on board as an assistant on the film. On contacting Sabbir Khan, he stated, “Yes Krishna is assisting me on the film, it’s great to have her on board, she’s extremely focused and passionate about being a filmmaker.”
Krishna was approached to act in couple of films but the aspiring filmmaker turned it down as directing film happens to be her real calling. Coming back to her debut project, ‘Munna Michael’, even though the film is yet to go on floors, it didn’t fail to attract controversies.
Writer-director Kritik Pandey had filed a police complaint, accusing Tiger of stealing his script, which was titled ‘Munna Michael’, which is apparently based on a die-hard fan of the King of Pop, Michael Jackson.
Reacting to the issue, Tiger spoke to reporters at the trailer launch of ‘A Flying Jatt’ and said, “I don’t know what the issue is. We are here (and) I don’t steal. I am not a thief. I don’t lie and I am not a cheater.” – CINEWS
