Tisca Chopra: It’s about unnoticeable people around us

Actress Tisca Chopra has released her latest short film titled Chutney reflecting on voyeurism, infidelity, marital relationships and insecurities.

The Taare Zameen Par star has produced, written it and also plays the protagonist in this 20-minute long film.

As the name suggests, the name Chutney is a symbol for all those ordinary people around us whom we fail to notice but add taste to our living in many ways.

“When I first heard the story, I instantly loved it. It’s like a revenge of ordinary people. By ordinary, I mean that the film will make you think for a second about all those unnoticeable people around you and the kind of stories they might have. But it’s not about a particular character,” says Tisca.

Directed by FTII graduate Jyoti Kapur Das, the movie also features Adil Hussain as Tisca’s husband.

The film has been shown at Dharamshala International Film Festival and is heading to other festivals. – CINEWS
