Toronto Fire Services hosting Open House for residents

Toronto Fire Services is hosting open house events this week, Fire Prevention Week, in communities across Toronto to promote fire and life safety. These interactive events, designed to be fun and informative, will focus on this year’s fire-prevention theme: “Don’t wait – check the date! Replace smoke alarms every 10 years.”

Participants will learn that smoke and carbon monoxide alarms don’t last forever. The units need to be replaced at least once every 10 years to ensure effective operation. Of course, alarm batteries should be changed annually.

Below are dates and locations of the open houses. The specified fire stations will be open to the public from 5:30 to 8 p.m. Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday this week. An all-day event will conclude the week on Saturday. Schedule details:
