A 39-year-old man, Courtney Rocker of Toronto, and a 16-year-old girl have been charged arrested and charged with human trafficking after a teen was rescued, Toronto police said.

The Sex Crimes unit of the police said a 16-year-old girl from Hamilton was forced into prostitution by the duo in February this year. The girl was taken to a hotel in Niagara Falls where her photos were taken and posted on an online website advertising escort services. The girl was forced to have sex with with several clients and all the money was pocketed by the duo.

She was then taken to Toronto, plied with alcohol and drugs and again forced to have sex with multiple clients. The 39-year-old man also sexually asssaulted and abused the victim, police said.

Courtney Rocker and his 16-year-old Toronto partner in crime  have both been charged with trafficking of a person under the age of 18 years while exercising control, financial/material benefit resulting from trafficking a person under 18, advertising another person’s sexual services, and possession of a substance for the purpose of trafficking.

Rocker is facing additional charges of sexual assault and assault.
