Agartala, May 16 (IANS) Justice Tinlianthang Vaiphei of the Gauhati High Court was on Monday sworn-in as judge of the Tripura High Court.
A judicial official said that Justice Vaiphei, 60, likely to be the acting chief justice of Tripura High Court after the union law and justice ministry issues a formal notification this week with the concurrence of the chief justice of India.
Tripura Governor Tathagata Roy administered the oath of office to Vaiphei at a simple ceremony at the Raj Bhavan in the presence of Chief Minister Manik Sarkar, his cabinet colleagues, leaders of various political parties and top officials.
