Trucking blitz put errant truckers on notice

Not so long ago, the OPP reported a 25% jump in fatal crashes involving trucks.

On October 24, the OPP as well as police in Peel and York regions launched a trucking inspection blitz, they laid 43 charges and took four commercial trucks off the road.

Among the charges, 15 were for equipment failures.

Many trucks fail to meet safety standards, say Peel police and it is important truckers ensure their trucks are safe before venturing on roads. -CINEWS
