Two Peel Police officers invested as Order of Merit members

Peel Regional Police Deputy Chief David Jarvis and Staff Superintendent Randy Patrick were both invested as Members of the Order of Merit of the Police Forces, on  Friday, September 16

The investiture was performed by His Excellency the Right Honourable David Johnston, Governor General of Canada, during a ceremony at Rideau Hall in Ottawa.  Deputy Chief David Jarvis and Staff Superintendent Randy Patrick were recognized for their significant contributions to policing in Canada.

The Order of Merit of the Police Forces honours a career of exceptional service or distinctive merit displayed by the men and women of Canadian police forces, and recognizes their commitment to this country. The primary focus is on exceptional merit, contributions to policing and community development. – CINEWS
