Two sought in convenience store robbery

Two suspects are being sought following a robbery at a convenience store in the City of Vaughan.

Police were called to a convenience store located in the area of Highway 7 and Martin Grove Road for a report of a robbery at approximately 2:35 a.m. Two men entered the store, one of them pointed a handgun at the employee and made a demand for cash. The employee complied with the demand and the second man took a quantity of cash, lottery tickets and cigars. Both men left the store walking north on Martin Grove Road.

The employee was not injured during the incident and nothing was taken.

Investigators with the York Regional Police Hold-Up Unit are looking for Suspect #1: Male, white, 25 to 30 years, Dark blue winter coat with fur on the hood, Black track pants, Red bandanna covering his face, Carrying a handgun

Suspect #2: Male, white, 20 to 25 years, 5’5”,Dark-coloured jacket, Blue hoodie pulled up over his face, Red hat, Dark pants, Red-and-white bandanna covering his face.
