UAE provides polio vaccine to Pakistan

Abu Dhabi, May 14 (IANS/WAM) The UAE Pakistan Assistance Programme (UAE PAP) has provided over 19.34 million doses of the polio vaccine for children in Pakistan during March and April.

The UAE PAP administration has extended thanks and appreciation to President Sheikh Khalifa bin Zayed Al Nahyan and Sheikh Mohamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Crown Prince of Abu Dhabi and Deputy Supreme Commander of the UAE Armed Forces, for their humanitarian gesture to eradicate polio and support the global efforts and the UN programmes to protect communities against dangerous epidemics and diseases.
