UMDL leaders leave for New Delhi

Kathmandu, Mar.13 (ANI): Senior leaders of Nepal’s United Democratic Madhesi Front (UMDL), who have been demanding amendments in the newly adopted Constitution including the issue of provincial boundaries, left for New Delhi on Sunday.

Tarai Madhes Democratic Party chairman Mahantha Thakur, vice-chairman Hridayesh Tripathi and Federal Socialist Forum-Nepal chairman Upendra Yadav were among those who left for the Indian capital.

According to reports, the leaders, who will be attending a programme in New Delhi, will also be meeting the leaders of various political parties.

The UDMF leaders had submitted a seven- point memorandum to Prime Minister K.P. Sharma Oli to resolve the Madhesi issue and to address their demands before mid-April. (ANI)
