UN adopts resolution to close probe on Iran’s n-activities

Vienna, Dec 15 (IANS) The UN nuclear agency board members on Tuesday adopted a resolution to close the probe into Tehran’s alleged nuclear activities in the past, upon a review of Iran’s implementation of its commitments under a nuclear deal endorsed by the UN security council in July.

After a 12-year investigation of the suspected Iran’s nuclear plan, the International Atomic Energy Agency (IAEA) decided to finalise the whole process in light of the historic nuclear deal, Xinhua reported.

Upon receipt by the board members of the IAEA report which verifies Iran’s implementation of its relevant commitments under the Joint Comprehensive Plan of Action, the probe of Tehran’s past suspected nuclear activities will be finished, according to the resolution.
