‘Untold Story’ 5th Hindi film to join Rs 100 crore club

MS Dhoni: The Untold Story is the fifth Hindi film to join the club of Rs 100 crore movies in 2016 which includes a hat trick by Akshay Kumar.

It has also become the fourth highest grossing film of the year, beating the record of Housefull 3, which collected Rs 107.70 crore nett in its lifetime.

In the south the Sushant Singh Rajput-starrer lost out screen count to new Bollywood releases Mirzya, Tutak Tutak Tutiya and some big-ticket south Indian movies in its second week.

The Untold Story became the second option for film-goers, which took its collection down by 80 percent on in its second Friday. The film collected Rs 4.07 crore nett at the Indian box office on its eighth day.

With some of the new releases getting mixed talk, the Neeraj Pandey-directed biopic became the first choice for its many viewers on its second Saturday.

The film collected Rs 5.20 crore on its second Saturday and over Rs 5.90 crore on Sunday.

MS Dhoni: The Untold Story has collected approximately over Rs 15.17 crore nett at the Indian box office in its second weekend.

Its 10-day domestic total collection has reached Rs 109.40 crore nett.  – CINEWS
