Hapur (Uttar Pradesh), April. 2 (ANI): A major fire broke out at a plywood factory in Uttar Pradesh’s Hapur area during the early hours of Saturday morning.

Short circuit is said to be the cause behind the fire, although a proper investigation to ascertain its origin is yet to be carried out.

“We have mobilised three fire tenders from Modinagar, Bulandsher and Meerut. By the time we reached, the fire had assumed mammoth proportions, for now our aim is to contain it. This is a plywood factory and there was lot of wood in the factory, which is acting as a fuel,” a fire department official told ANI.

No causalities have been reported so far.

Further details are awaited. (ANI)
