Vaani Kapoor, the star of Befikre says her co-star Ranveer Singh never treated her like a newcomer, helping to calm her nervousness before the camera and on the set.
“Ranveer’s focus and discipline is amazing,” she added. “He is very normal when shooting. It can be intimidating for a newcomer to work, who is not very familiar with the way things function, big director and big co-actor. The fact that he is so friendly made me feel comfortable.”
She added, “He was just like a friend and which is why I could give my best. I was made to feel that I am no less.”
She also said that she loved working with Ranveer. The 28-year-old, who made her Bollywood debut with Shudhh Desi Romance, and Ranveer have worked together for the first time in the Aditya Chopra-helmed romantic comedy.
Befikre was shot in Paris and the trailer of the film was launched at the Eiffel Tower, on October 10, in the presence of the Mayor of the city Anne Hidalgo, the first woman to hold office.
The launch became the first ever cinema event to take place at the Tower which was closed for some days after the terrorist attacks.
Vaani made her film debut with a supporting role in the 2013 romantic comedy Shuddh Desi Romance, a critical and commercial success.
She garnered wide appreciation for her performance and earned her several awards and nominations, including the Best Female Debut at the 59th Filmfare Awards.
In 2014, she ventured into the South Indian film industry with the Tamil and Telugu language romantic comedy Aaha Kalyanam, that proved to be a moderate box-office success and her portrayal of the lead female character was praised. – CINEWS
