Varanasi district magistrate orders probe on blinding case (Update)

Varanasi, Feb. 1 (ANI): The District Magistrate (DM) of Varanasi on Monday ordered an inquiry into the incident in which seven patients lost their eyesight due to the alleged use of infected injections by doctors.

The victims had submitted an application at the Lanka police station in Varanasi yesterday against doctors of ophthalmology department at Sir Sunderlal Hospital.

Meanwhile, Dr. O P S Maurya, who administered the injection, has denied any act of negligence on his part. (ANI)
