Varanasi: PM Modi chief guest at BHU convocation today

New Delhi, Feb. 22 (ANI): Prime Minister Narendra Modi will be the Chief Guest at the Centenary Convocation of the Banaras Hindu University (BHU) on Monday where he will deliver the address.

On the occasion, more than 400 students will also be awarded with Medals for their outstanding performance.

During the ceremony, a divyang girl student Pankhuri Jain, who topped in BSC math honors course, will also share the dais with Prime Minister.

Union Human Resource Development Minister Smriti Irani, BHU Chancellor Dr Karan Singh and other dignitaries will be present on this occasion.

The Prime Minister reached reached Varanasi last night.

Before taking part in the convocation, Prime Minister Modi will visit the Sant Ravidas temple at Seer Govardhanpur to offer prayers on the occasion of the 639th birth anniversary of the social reformer. (ANI)
