A few months back when Varun Dhawan started taking tailoring classes to get into his character, Mauji for ‘Sui Dhaaga: Made In India’.
Soon after, Anushka Sharma joined him on sets in Chanderi and pictures of their look from the film surfaced on social media.
The two looked unrecognizable dressed up in simple clothes and it left all super excited for the film.
The two continued shooting in Chanderi and reports suggest that Varun Dhawan decided to do all his stunt sequences by himself.
While he was shooting a street fight sequence, he was supposed to roll down a flight of stairs and the hero decided to not use a stunt double and go for a take himself which later caused an injury on his head and forehead.
A source revealed, “Varun was supposed to roll down a long flight of stairs and he insisted that he will do the sequence all by himself. It is a realistic sequence where Varun gets entangled in a street brawl and he has to fight to protect himself.”
Sources further adds, “The production insisted that there is risk attached to the scene and that he shouldn’t be risking his body but he was confident. The shot went off perfectly but while rolling down the stairs, he got minor injuries on his head and forehead.”
“The doctors tended to him immediately. Varun was adamant that the shoot cannot stop and returned to the sets immediately despite being in pain and finished the shoot for the day as per production plans,” added by source.
