Varun Dhawan to play double roles in Judwaa sequel

Varun Dhawan plays the two characters originally played by Salman Khan. 

David Dhawan, who directed the original Salman Khan starrer Judwaa (1997),  will helm the second sequel of the popular blockbuster casting his brother Varun in the lead roles.

Judwaa (Twin) is a action comedy starring Salman in a double role as estranged twins opposite Karisma Kapoor and Rambha. It was a huge  success at the box office. The film will be produced by Nadiadwala Grandson Entertainment.

It is a remake of the 1994 Telugu movie Hello Brother, which itself is based on the 1992 Jackie Chan’s movie Twin Dragons.

In the sequel David Dhawan’s brother, Varun who was last seen in Dishoom, is to play the lead double role played originally by Salman.

Announcing the release date of the Film, Nadiadwala Grandson entertainment tweeted, “Mark your calendars! Judwaa2 releasing on 29.09.17 Directed by #DavidDhawan *ing @Varun_dvn x2 Produced By #SajidNadiadwala #29Sept17Judwaa2”

The producers have delivered three popular  films this year, Baaghi, Housefull 3 and Dishoom. NGE is also gearing up for its upcoming period romance drama Rangoon.
