Varunavat Mountain crack causes landslide, ‘Chaar-Dham’ pilgrims stranded at Srinagar

Uttarkashi (Uttarakhand), July 19 (ANI): Following deep cracks widened by heavy rainfall, a massive landslide occurred at the Varunavat Mountain in Uttarkashi, restraining the movement of Badrinath, Kedarnath and Hemkund pilgrims.

Many pilgrims are said to be stranded at Srinagar.

Traffic has reportedly been diverted.

District Magistrate Indudhar Bodai had earlier issued orders to block the road in front of the Tamba Khani tunnel.
