New Delhi, Nov.26 (ANI): Union Parliamentary Affairs Minister M. Venkaiah Naidu on Thursday appealed for a mature debate and discussions to the members of the Parliament and asserted the government’s commitment to the Constitution.
“I only appeal to all the members of the parliament that please see that entire country is watching us. We are not kids but matured people. We have 68 years of experience. We expect more matured behaviour and discussions,” Naidu told the media here.
“As far as Government of India is concerned, it is very clear that we are committed to the Constitution, we are committed to the parliamentary democracy and committed to the values cherished by the founding fathers of the Constitution,” he added.
Parliament today honoured its architect Dr B.R. Ambedkar by holding a discussion on his contributions, which is also be a part of the Government’s decision to celebrate November 26th as Constitution day.
Dicussions on Babasaheb’s contribution was started by Union Home Minister Rajnath Singh followed by Congress President Sonia Gandhi.(ANI)
