`Versatile` Sanjay Suri says Indie cinema feeds his soul

New Delhi, Jan 4 (ANI): Bollywood actor Sanjay Suri, who keeps oscillating between commercial and independent films, will soon be seen in an independent flick titled ‘Chauranga’.

The actor, who is also producing this film with his long-time friend Onir, was in the national capital with the star cast to promote the flick.

When asked what is his favourite genre between commercial cinema and independent flick, the 44-year-old actor told ANI in an exclusive interview, “Commerical cinema pays your bills, whereas Indie cinema feeds your soul.”

Talking about the film festivals for indie flicks, the ‘Jhankar Beats’ star said that film festivals are litmus test for indie flicks and have been created for the celebration of artistic excellence.

The film directed by debutant Bikas Ranjan Mishra, stars Sanjay Suri and Tannishtha Chatterjee in the lead roles.

The flick is all set to hit the theatres on January 8, 2016 and will clash with Amitabh Bachchan and Farhan Akhtar starrer ‘Wazir’ at the domestic box-office. (ANI)
