Bhopal, July 5 (ANI): Congress leader K. K. Mishra on Sunday said that the Vyapam scam has emerged as the ‘biggest scam in Asia’, adding that the death of journalist Akshay Singh has shaken the belief of people from democracy.
“The death of journalist Akshay Singh under mysterious circumstances has shaken the belief of the nation in democracy. I believe that the Vyapam scam has become the biggest scam in Asia. The Madhya Pradesh Governor has been named in the scam, his two sons have been named, the Chief Minister has been named and several IAS and IPS officers are in jail..This has created an atmosphere of fear,” Mishra told ANI.
Akshay Singh, a journalist with the TV Today Group, died suddenly yesterday when he had gone to take an interview of the family of a slain Vyapam scam accused in Jhabua district of Madhya Pradesh.
Reports say that Singh felt chest pain while he was taking the interview. He was taken to the Meghnagar hospital, where he was declared dead on arrival. (ANI)
