Vyapam scam: Three cases registered by CBI

New Delhi, July 15 (ANI): On the directions of the Supreme Court, the Central Bureau of Investigation (CBI) has started the process of taking over investigation from STF Madhya Pradesh by registering three cases on Wednesday.

In the first case, the agency registered a case against 21 candidates in the Pre-Medical Test 2010 examination, while the second case is against eight accused persons in the pre PG examination.

Third case is regarding alleged illegalities in the Pre Medical Test of 2009 and 2010 involving 28 accused persons.

The CBI has constituted a special team of 40 officers, headed by a Joint Director level officer, to probe the scam.

The Supreme Court had last week transferred all cases relating to the Vyapam scam to the CBI. (ANI)
