Wah Taj was released on Friday is essentially about farmers of Maharashtra and actor Shreyas Talpade hopes that the film will reach out to many people as the message of the movie is strong.
The story is how the protagonist Tukaram (Shreyas) and his wife Sunanda (essayed by actress Manjari Fadnis) keep fighting for the land.
How Tukaram manipulates the system using the mindset of the kind of people we have today in the country, the kind of corruption that we have today. How we use it to our own advantage to reach a goal that he wants to,” Shreyas added.
Directed by Ajit Sinha, “Wah Taj” revolves around a Maharashtrian farmer’s struggle amidst the corrupt system.
The film has been shot mainly in Agra, especially near the Taj Mahal.
Shreyas Talpade, who is set to debut as a director in Bollywood with the Hindi remake of his Marathi movie Poshter Boys, said that as an actor he never likes to interfere in director’s work.
“I do not interfere in the director or producer’s work and try to stick to my acting when I am working as an actor. I guess if I am able to do that properly, it’s a huge achievement for me,” he said at the trailer launch of the film. – CINEWS
