Karachi, July 16 (ANI): Legendary fast bowler Wasim Akram has been entrusted with a task of helping the Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) carve out fast bowling talents from the country through a talent hunt campaign.
Titled as the ‘Super Speed Star Campaign’, the PCB would begin a nationwide search for the best young bowlers in the country from July 23 through a series of trials.
“Bowlers selected during the trials will travel to Karachi and join leading fast bowlers for a 12-day camp with Pakistani great Wasim Akram,” the PCB was quoted as saying by Dawn.
Earlier, Akram had expressed his disappointment with the Pakistan cricket board, saying that it didn’t seek his help despite the team were struggling during the World Cup while he was also there in Australia. (ANI)
