Wasim Jaffer becomes first batsman to reach 10,000 runs in Ranji Trophy

New Delhi, Nov. 8 (ANI): Former Indian cricketer Wasim Jaffer scripted history by becoming the first batsman to cross the 10,000-run mark in the Ranji Trophy.

The 37-year-old veteran opener was the leading run-scorer in the domestic first-cricket championship since the day he surpassed Amol Muzumdar’s mark of 9202.

Jaffer, who has a batting average of 58.14 in Ranji, achieved the milestone while playing for Vidharba on Sunday.

The right-hander batsman, who made his Test debut against South Africa in 2000, has scored 1944 in 31 matches with five centuries and 11 half-tons. (ANI)
