Water resistance, dual pixel technology in Galaxy S7 unmatched with iPhone, says Samsung

New Delhi, Mar.9 (ANI): South Korean tech giant Samsung Electronics has said the seven new innovations on their flagship devices Galaxy S7 and S7 edge are unique and unmatched with any of the smartphones in the market including the iPhone.

The director of mobile business, Samsung India Electronics Manu Sharma while speaking to ANI in an exclusive interview here said the dual pixel technology in the camera added in the new flagship devices are unique and none of the smartphones in the market have including the iPhone.

“We have announced seven new innovations on our flagship devices. It is IP68 certified water and dust resistance. You can leave the device submerged in a meter and a half of water for upto 30 minutes. The design is also further refined from S6. We have added dual pixel technology in the camera which is used in DSLR and allows brilliant photography in low light conditions. This cannot match with any of the smartphone out there,” Sharma said.

Talking further on the ‘Made for India’ concept, Sharma said Samsung Research and development institute in Noida and Bengaluru have come up with great features like new software, panorama concept in the camera.

“Samsung R&D in India played a significant role in the development of the new devices, with many engineers involved in the expansion of the My Galaxy platform to cater to the needs of premium users in India with Samsung Concierge,” he said.

“The unique consumer engagement platform has been customized to offer valuable services such as My Assistant, Phone pick up and drop, Fast Track service and Live Chat.The Indian R&D team also contributed to developing the Motion Panorama feature that will enable consumers to capture live events in great detail by capturing every piece of dynamic motion. Additionally, the Spotlight Selfie feature that provides consumers a studio-like environment with virtual light source, was developed in India,” he added. (ANI)
