Singer Rahat Fateh Ali Khan who sung a song ‘Ishtehar’, featuring Diljit Dosanjh and Sonakshi Sinha for the film ‘Welcome to the New York’.

‘Welcome To New York’ makers may drop the song After Babul Supriyo Sparks Outrage.

He questioned the makers need to rope in a Pakistani artiste at a time when India-Pakistan relations are strained.

The controversy has sent producers Vashu and Jackky Bhagnani, and director Chakri Toleti into a tizzy.
It has been learnt that they are considering dubbing the song again with an Indian artiste.

Sources says, “The makers are worried that a controversy so close to the film’s release, would jeopardise its chance at the box office. Though Chakri is against the idea, the producers are planning to record the song again.”

“It will be a race against time for the team as the film hits theatres on February 23. The team will record the new version over the next two days,” added the source.–CINEWS
