Toronto Newcomer Day 2016 celebrations took place at City Hall on Tuesday May 24. As part of the festivities, Nathan Phillips Square offered free, family-friendly activities and entertainment to welcome and celebrate the contributions of newcomers to Toronto. As an ardent supporter of newcomers to Canada, WelcomePack chose this occasion to launch its next phase of reaching out to newcomers to Canada.
Now in its third year, WelcomePack Canada, along with more than 40 participating Canadian brands and over 60 newcomers’ settlement services centers, has been busy welcoming new immigrants with its iconic gift box filled with products, an informative magazine, special offers and savings of immediate value to newcomers. Since the launch of this program in 2013, 45,000 newcomers have benefited from this ‘Welcome To Remember’, with the company estimating to reach 15,000 more by this year-end.
The WelcomePack program continues to enhance the settling in experience of newcomers, well beyond the initial welcome gift pack.
