London, July 11 (IANS) Ukraine forward Andriy Yarmolenko has signed a four-year contract with West Ham, the Premier League club announced on Wednesday.
West Ham chose not to disclose the fee they paid for the 28-year-old, who joined the Hammers from Borussia Dortmund, reports Efe.
“Of course, I am very happy to sign for West Ham United.” Yarmolenko said.
“West Ham is a big club with good fans and I am happy to come to play in the Premier League,” he added.
“The Premier League is the best league in the world and I know that an interesting project is being built here at West Ham. The team wants to achieve high things and I am excited for this challenge,” Yarmolenko said.
Yarmolenko is West Ham’s fifth summer signing after Jack Wilshere, Issa Diop, Ryan Fredericks and Lukasz Fabianski.
With Dortmund, Yarmolenko played 18 games and scored three goals.
