Bollywood actor Akshay Kumar criticizes films that tends to caricature homosexuals.
They are normal as anyone irrespective of the sexuality that a man or woman chooses to follow, he adds.
The actor who played a homosexual character in Dishoom feels no stereotypes should be attached while playing such roles. “Homosexuals are as normal as all of us. We are all one. So I have never understood why play that kind of a caricature. Even in Rustom, we haven’t shown a Parsi caricature.”
Speaking about his cameo in Dishoom, Akshay said, ” I am glad all liked it. I try to do different things. .” Akshay also expressed his keenness to do a full-fledged role like the one from Dishoom. ” If a script is good and I like the screenplay I will do it,” said Akshay.
Actor Saqib Saleem, a part of Dishoom and plays a cricketer in John Abraham-Varun Dhawan starrer movie, shared a selfie with Akshay on his Twitter page saying: Best cameo ever 🙂 @akshaykumar sir it was an honour sharing space with you in #Dishoom. Love & Luck for #Rustom. – CINEWS
